My name is Amanda Brannon! I am a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, NASM Certified Nutrition Coach, and a National Physique Committee Bikini Competitor.

I am passionate about fitness and nutrition, but I value well-being. You cannot be the best version of yourself unless you prioritize your mental, physical, and spiritual health.

About Me

I was born and raised in Colorado! I enjoy all things outdoors including hiking, paddleboarding, exploring National Parks, camping, and skiing. My favorite hobbies are resistance training and spending time outside with my two big dogs (Koda and Maeve). I started my fitness journey to improve my physical and mental health. As someone who has struggled with anxiety, depression, and disordered eating behaviors, the gym became an outlet for me which helped me overcome those struggles. I hope to help others experience the positive impact of prioritizing their health and well-beling through fitness and nutrition coaching.

Career & Educational Background

I began working within the Fitness Industry in 2017 as a Group Fitness Instructor for the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs. I led a variety of Group Fitness classes including Cycle, Barre, Mixxedfit, Strength, and Recovery-Based formats. During that time, I discovered a passion for Fitness and went on to pursue obtaining my Personal Training Certification.

In 2018, I obtained my AAAI/ISMA Personal Training Certification and began training clients at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs. I trained clients of varying fitness levels and medical considerations including hypertension, spinal injuries, down syndrome, cerebral palsy, and diabetes. I found excitement in coaching and desired to impact more people which led to starting an internship at VASA Fitness under the guidance of several experienced Fitness Professionals.

Later in 2018, I was offered a promotion at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs and began working as the Interim Fitness Program Coordinator overseeing the Fitness Department. I managed program offerings, group fitness instructors, and personal trainers as a Full-Time Student in the absence of a Full Time Professional. During this time, I also accepted a position with VASA Fitness as a Fitness Coach.

Through a colleague, I was connected with Special Olympics CO and served as a volunteer Head Coach for their Fit 5 Program which was geared towards sport-specific training of athletes during their off-seasons. I was offered an opportunity to serve as their Head Powerlifting Coach in 2020, but the Covid-19 pandemic halted the season.

With those experiences, I found my calling in the Fitness Industry and decided to change my major from Psychology to Health and Exercise Science.

By October 2020, I was working full-time as a Fitness Manager for 24 Hour Fitness while finishing my studies at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs. In May of 2021, I graduated with a degree in Health and Exercise Science. Believe it or not, in October of 2021, I ended up working for the college I graduated from as their Full-Time Fitness Professional managing the Campus Recreation Fitness Programs.

Currently, I work for Team EXOS as a Full-Time Fitness Manager and Coach alongside training independently under Mile High Muscle. I hold several nationally accredited Fitness Certifications and plan to invest in my career through continued education.
